Huntley – man facing multiple fraud charges




Financial Crimes Squad detectives have laid 136 charges against a former employee following an investigation into the alleged $1.9 million fraud of a mining company.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Financial Crimes Squad, with assistance from Central West Police District, established Strike Force Curnuck to investigate reports of fraudulent offences committed against a mining company between 2009 and 2017.

As part of investigations, detectives served a 72-year-old Huntley man with a Court Attendance Notice (CAN) for 56 offences, including dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception and obtain money by deception (greater than $5000), on Monday 18 January 2021.
