Southern Highlands P-plater hit with multiple charges during drink driving blitz

A 19-year-old p-plater will front Moss Vale Local Court later this month after being charged following a traffic operation the Southern Highlands.

The driver allegedly failed to stop in Bowral and hit a gutter before fleeing the vehicle on foot around 12.25am last Saturday.

The cops nabbed him after a short foot pursuit and searched his vehicle where they found two people in the boot.

He was arrested and taken to Southern Highlands station where he allegedly returned a reading of 0.195.

He was released on bail ahead of his court appearance while his P2 provisional licence has been suspended.
