The 18 Shellharbour and Wollongong clubs sharing in $100,000 funding | Illawarra Mercury

Eighteen sporting clubs in the Shellharbour and Wollongong electorates will share in $100,000 in funding under the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grants Program. Shellharbour has been allocated $50,000 for eight sporting clubs, with the most going to Oak Flats Tennis Club, which will receive $13,000 for the installation of new fencing at Oak Flats Tennis Centre. Lake Illawarra Cricket Club is also set to receive $10,685 for the replacement of grandstand seating at Howard Fowles Oval in Lake Illawarra. “This club was only recently recognised as an All-Abilities Cricket Club, the first in the Greater Illawarra Cricket Zone,” Shellharbour MP Anna Watson said. “It’s so great to see a progressive club like this, leading the…
